The Sequoyah Animal Hospital Promise
At Sequoyah Animal Hospital, we’re proud to be part of the Soddy Daisy community – and that’s why we strive to share the same warmth our area is known for with our clients and patients. The experienced team at Sequoyah Animal Hospital understands choosing a veterinarian is one of the most important decisions a pet owner will make for their pet’s lifelong well-being. You can be assured that when you choose Sequoyah Animal Hospital, we consider you family. We strive to provide the absolute best in veterinary care, and to treat your treasured companion as if he or she were our own, while providing exemplary veterinary care.
Regular Check-Ups & Good Nutrition
Your doctor recommends annual physical exams and a well-balanced diet to monitor and sustain your overall health – and we believe the same vital preventative steps are important for your pet. Proper nutrition and preventative pet health care are the two most important steps you can take to ensure your pet lives a long, happy life.
We would like to see your pet at least once a year. This gives us the opportunity to give your pet his or her annual wellness examination. This nose-to-tail check-up, combined with annual heartworm/intestinal parasite screening, blood work, and a vaccine program tailored to your pet’s needs, will help us identify and prevent health issues before they become serious.
Your pet can’t tell you when he or she is sick, and often serious medical issues can develop before their outward symptoms become apparent. Identifying any such issues as early as possible is the key to long-term good health and to keeping the lifetime cost of caring for your pet as low as possible.
Veterinary Care Close By, When You Need it Most
We understand pet owners have hectic lives and busy work schedules. In an effort to best serve you and the needs of your pet, we offer convenient hours that extend past the typical 5 o’clock closing time. By keeping our doors open until 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, we hope to make it easier for your treasured companion to visit us and receive the care they need at a date and time that works for you. We are also available during business hours should an emergency arise.
Our veterinarians and medical team provide the kind of compassionate, skilled veterinary care your pet needs and deserves. Our internal medicine, diagnostic and surgical capabilities, supported by our network of sophisticated referral practices, help us quickly get you an accurate diagnosis and treatment recommendation, minimizing your pet’s discomfort and your worry. We work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures, such as echocardiograms, chemotherapy, MRIs or CTs, are required.
Our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-house surgical suite, X-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor exercise areas. We also have dog daycare facilities, which offer supervised play time and training with our on-site trainer.
Sequoyah Animal Hospital Involving You in Your Pet’s Healthcare
The team at Sequoyah Animal Hospital is experienced in treating a wide range of conditions, but we tailor treatment to your pet and provide educational resources and information for you so care continues even after you’ve walked out of our doors. Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn’t feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.
The veterinarians and staff at Sequoyah Animal Hospital know great veterinary care begins with taking the time to get to know your pet, talking with you and giving you all the information you need to make the best decisions for your companion. Your appointments will never feel rushed and we are available by phone should you have any questions after you return home.
Our History
Dr. Thompson founded and built Sequoyah Animal Hospital in 2008. Our practice has grown significantly and we are now a four-veterinarian, full-service hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care to dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, and even the occasional small farm animal or horse.
Dr. Thompson has added semen collection, artificial assimination, and freezing services to the hospital.
In the Community
Sequoyah Animal Hospital is proud to partner with the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga and the McKamey Animal Center. Our doctors spay/neuter, microchip and provide Rabies vaccinations to newly adopted pets from the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga as part of the new pet owner’s adoption fee. Through McKamey Animal Center, we provide free wellness exams to pets within one week of adoption.
